Black Color Steel was my first design studio experience in Bangalore, where I started as a trainee and was quickly promoted to Designer.
The studio specialized in both print and digital design, catering to B2B and B2C clients across architecture, hospitality, consulting, and retail. I worked on brand identity systems, print collateral, signage, and environmental graphics.
I also led client discussions to translate business needs into impactful visual communication. It was a foundational journey where I honed my design thinking, client communication, and execution skills across multiple formats and mediums.

Being new to professional design, my initial challenge was adapting quickly to the fast-paced expectations of real-world projects. Each client came from a different industry, so learning to apply design principles while catering to distinct visual languages was key. I had to navigate branding projects where there were no prior guidelines, and the brief was often verbal or abstract.
Working with vendors for print production, signages, and environmental graphics also required understanding materials, print specs, and coordination beyond screen design.
Additionally, I had to create brand systems that looked cohesive across vastly different touchpoints — from brochures to 3D signage.

Over time, I became the go-to designer for several projects and clients. I successfully delivered complete corporate identity kits for architecture firms and restaurant startups.
My work was used in client pitches, environmental displays, and as part of brand communication across events and interior spaces. Clients appreciated the consistent design language I brought to business collateral and signage. I contributed to a major rebranding of a car accessories company, where my designs were scaled across store interiors, posters, and merchandise.
This studio gave me a strong foundation in the fundamentals of branding and the craft of execution, which continue to guide my product and interface design today.
